Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ImproveThis.ai (“the Service”), operated by ImproveThis (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ImproveThis.ai is an AI-powered text rewriting tool that helps you improve messages for specific audiences. The Service allows you to create person profiles, submit text for AI-driven refinement, and copy improved results. We use third-party AI models (including Google Gemini and OpenAI) to process your text.

3. Accounts & Authentication

You may sign up using Google OAuth or email/password authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Free & Pro Plans

• Free plan: 100 improvements per month, up to 3 person profiles, 3 writing modes, and 7-day message history.
• Pro plan: Available as a monthly ($7.99/month) or annual ($79/year) subscription. Unlimited improvements (subject to fair-use policy below), unlimited person profiles, all 5 writing modes, full message history, and priority support.

Usage limits reset monthly. We reserve the right to adjust plan features and pricing with reasonable notice. Changes to pricing will not affect your current billing period.

5. Payments & Billing

Pro subscriptions are available as monthly ($7.99/month) or annual ($79/year) plans, processed through Dodo Payments, our payment processor. By upgrading, you authorize Dodo Payments to charge your selected payment method. All payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments and are subject to their terms of service.

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period. Mid-cycle plan switching (e.g., from monthly to annual) is not supported; changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

5a. Fair-Use Policy

Pro plan improvements are marketed as “unlimited” and are subject to a fair-use ceiling of 1,000 improvements per calendar month. This limit is designed to prevent automated or abusive usage and does not affect normal, individual use of the Service. If you approach this ceiling, we will notify you in the app. Upon reaching it, improvements are paused until the next monthly reset. We reserve the right to adjust the fair-use ceiling with reasonable notice.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all text you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the refinement service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and must not submit text that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

7. AI-Generated Output

The Service produces AI-generated text suggestions. These are provided “as is” and we make no guarantees about their accuracy, appropriateness, or suitability for any purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI output before using it. We are not liable for any consequences arising from your use of AI-generated text.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate spam, phishing, or deceptive content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI models
• Circumvent usage limits through automated means or multiple accounts
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and chameleon logo, is owned by ImproveThis and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ImproveThis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on the Service with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
